The Sexiest Women of 2011

This year there has been a great amount of beautiful leading ladies in films, even if the films themselves haven’t been that great. For instance Emma Stone was both sexy and intelligent in Crazy, Stupid Love but the film itself was forgettable. She exuded confidence while looking fantastic as she toyed with Ryan Gosling’s misogynistic Jacob.

That being said some actresses weren’t afraid to show a little skin with the likes of Rose Byrne and January Jones dressing down to the bare minimum. Byrne’s character Moira did so to save the world, Jones’ character did it because…..well she didn’t really have a good reason. The one thing that is sure is that they both looked great while also bringing a much needed feminine element to the film that concentrated mainly upon the relationship between Charles (James McAvoy) and Erik (Michael Fassbender). Byrne also looked great as the vindictive Helen in Bridesmaids as she battles with Kristen Wiig’s Annie to be the maid of Honor to Maya Rudolph’s Lillian.

Another actress who portrayed multiple strong sexy women this year was Olivia Wilde who starred in both The Change Up and Cowboys and Aliens where she did some very sultry things. In Cowboys she stripped down and fought aliens, in the Change Up she worked as a lawyer who had a thing for Jason Bateman’s David. Despite the fact both films left much to be desired Wilde stood out. She also starred this year in Butter and In Time.

Finally an actress who really pushed the bar this year was Natalie Portman who not only looked fantastic in Black Swan but also in Your Highness and No Strings Attached. All three characters looked beautiful with her character in Black Swan being both elegant and risqué at the same time. In Your Highness she played a warrior with a bad side which while not only sexy was pretty funny. In No Strings Attached she becomes Ashton Kutcher’s sex buddy. Overall it’s been quite a good year for us as well as Portman.

Next year brings the return of Scarlett Johansson to the role of Black Widow in The Avengers but for now we can always look back at all the beautiful women in film of 2011.
