Review: This movie is based on the true story of J Edgar Hoover who revolutionized the very structure of criminal investigations and played an instrumental role in the founding of FBI and remained its director till his last breath. Clint Eastwood delves into the personal and private life of the esteemed personality in this film that is bound for greatness.

Throughout the course of this movie, one is spellbound when one is exposed to the myriad of secrets that potentially would plagued his career and how he is able to steer his vessel through such instances. The movie would definitely reach stratospheric heights of success where the movie direction of Clint Eastwood is impeccable and the portrayal of the character of J Edgar by none other than the modern king of Hollywood, Leonardo DiCaprio.

Despite being an unpopular character due to his rumored Machiavellian way of dealing, J Edgar was able to survive the tenure of over 7 presidents with his ability to bend the truth or uphold it and coerce personalities of high stature to perform certain steps which corresponded to his ideas of justice. I would rate this movie a solid 9 out of 10.
