Jiin Christou

Immersed in the architecture of text and emotion, Jiin Christou wields her way through the music industries jungle to redefine the art of music. Touring on and off the map for 9 years, her songs represent very different aspects of life experience, from the rock chic, to underground electronica, through tribal rhythms, she carves her moments in time into the
computer and brings the performance to the stage. She tells us of a very old story about.. "Compassion".

Her stage presence is magnetic. She delivers a mix of subtle and intense vocal sounds, piano chord progressions mixed with delays, chorus, loops, and other effects.

Jiin's loyalty to the music is apparent in her latest 14 track album "Avalon"'s emotive "Pull Through", a track written for her friend going through a difficult time. "The idea of creating these sacred sonic spaces in hard times suits the 20th century," she points out. "We all need a gin and tonic now and then...me included".
